Pregnancy Ultrasounds

When billing an ultrasound of a pregnant uterus with multiple fesuses we bill 76817 and 76815, I was told that this is the correct way to bill by our Ultrasonographer. Now I have someone telling me this is incorrect. Does anyone know if these 2 should be billed together for U/S of pregnant uterus with 2+ fetuses?

re: Pregnancy Ultrasounds

76815 is a limited exam 1 or more fetus. 76817 is the transvaginal portion, If you are doing a limited US with transvaginal these 2 codes are apropraite to bill together.

If you are doing a limited OB for twins, do you only charge 76815?
(Transabdominal approach)
