Modifer Software

Does anyone know of any coding software that will help with modifers or audit modifers on claims before submission?

Athenahealth has this built into their claims processing system. There may be other practice management systems that do, but I don't know of them.

Most coders use two pieces of software: one to check for coding edits, modifier use, etc and one to enter the claims/charges. Many times, these aren't integrated, like the athenahealth product.

I use codecorrect.com. It has an NCCI function and tells you what modifiers are allowed. Ingenix has a product, the AMA, PMIC: lots of vendors will sell you a product.
