Coding muliple surgery codes

I am doing the coding for the provider and I am having some second guessing about some charges that I coded. :-(

My doctor did a surgery with codes 58662, 58660, 58925, and 44180. I have access to findacode.com and as far as I could tell all these codes could be billed together. There was an assist in the surgery and his billing office is telling me that all these code cannot be billed together (this is when I started to second guess myself). Also since these were all distinct procedural services I put a 59 modifier.

Please anything will help and if I have coded this incorrect please advise! :-)

re: Coding muliple surgery codes

You cannot bill codes 58660 or 44180, these are bundled into code 58662. Per CCI edits they have a 0 indicator which means you cannot bypass the edits with a modifier. The technique utilized for the remaining procedures must be well documented as well.

Should I put the 59 modifier on the other codes?

findacode.com is kind of confusing on the NCCI edits. Do you know of a better site that is free?

And thank you for the help!!! :-)
