TCM Billing

What date of service should we use for the TCM service? Since we cannot bill for the face-to-face visit (the one within 7 or 14 days depending on complexity), can we use that date as the date for the TCM, but hold the billing for 30 days after discharge?

re: TCM Billing

I just had a webinar on this.

They are still unsure what DOS to use. I keep checking the CMS website, but they haven't released any transmittals on this yet. But, yes you are suppossed to hold for 30 days after discharge. I have already put a charge in for this service and it is currently on hold. I am crossing my fingers a medicare transmittal comes out soon with this information.
