Office Visit and MVA

Patient presents to the office after a motor vehicle accident. The office visit charge is to be billed to the motor vehicle insurance. The dx for this visit was cervical neck strain and headache. While the patient was in the office she was also treated for sinusitis and depression. Can two seperate encounters be created and two seperate insurance be billed for the same office visit?

Your best bet would be to schedule two separate office visits so that the dictation doesn't get mixed up and you can more easily bill the appropriate insurance for each. The physician will need to keep his/her notes separate but Yes.
