How to bill for shoulder arthroscopic subacromial decompression in 2012
How do I bill for shoulder arthroscopic subacromial decompression now that the CPT® 29826 is an add-on code in 2012? Should I bill 29822 & 29826 or 29823 & 29826, or should this just be billed with 29822 or 29823 only? Or is there something else that is more appropriate? Help.

In the event an ASAD is performed as an isolated procedure, it will need to be reported as an unlisted CPT® code 29999 (unlisted procedure arthroscopy).

I looked up 29826 in my CPT® book and it says for an open procedure to use 23130 or 23415. Would either of these codes work for you?
