Anesthesia Pre Op

I perform billing for an Anesthesia practice. Occasionally we receive a request to perform a pre op evaluation for high risk patients. This visit is to evaluate the candidacy of a pt to have a procedure performed in a surgical hospital setting vs acute care. Is this visit separately billable? Is there a time frame in which this serive would be considered global?
