cpt coding I am having trouble with this code and I do not know what I am doing wrong will you help me so in the future I will not have this problem?

Non human graft for temporary wound closure 5 cm defect scalp?

I have tried every code that I have found and it still comes up incorrect would you show/tell me what I am doing wrong please?

The codes I have been trying is 15420, 15421 both together, 15430-15431 same with this set as the first set and alone. Please help before I go crazy!

How do you know you are coding wrong, are you getting a denial?
If your defect is 5 cm why are you coding for over 100 sq cm? 15420 is for first 100 sq cm or less.
What diagnosis code are you using? If this is a Medicare patient be sure to check your carrier for policies.

I want to know what I am doing wrong so in the future I will know and my RN is out and I was wanting to know in the future and if it comes back on a test.
I used 15420-15421 & 15430-15431 separately and together and I have used codes 12004, 12005 and 11770 and some others and they were wrong also.

To update you have tried codes on this coding problem 15320-15321 these did not work either, will you help me please?

Okay - you need to slow down and read carefully - some of the info you probably need is in the prior answer given.....Assuming that this is an adult patient, the wound is only 5 cm and you are using codes which encompass greater than 100 sq cm. I would use code 15420 (temporary non-human graft repair for 100 sq cm or less).
