ICD-9 code septic cholangitis

Good afternoon, What is the correct ICD-9 coding for septic cholangitis? This is an ED encounter. Is the MD telling me the pt has sepsis? The pt has fever, bandemia, tachycardia. hypotension. (Urosepsis is coded to 599.0.) I find sepsis coding confusing. Thank you
