Excision of rectus muscle

I need help with this one.

Excision of internal oblique muscle. OP not says that entire internal oblique muscle was excised. Any ideas on what CPT® code to use.

Thanks

re: Excision of rectus muscle

They were excising a mass from the internal oblique musculature.

re: Excision of rectus muscle

Did you look at codes 49203-49205. The internal oblique muscle (of the abdomen) is the intermediate muscle of the abdomen. Not having the op-note is a disadvantage.

Thanks
That is where I was looking, but wasn't sure.

Actually this is all the op note said. "The superficial thrombotic vein was opened, drained, and ligated. The pt tolerated procedure. wound was packed wet to
dry.

But thanks for your help

re: Excision of rectus muscle

sorry disregard my op note remark I was looking at the wrong OP Note.

The OP note for this just said we excised the entire internal oblique muscle, which involved a very hard, dense encapsulated mass. The mass was completely excised from the internal oblique musculature.

But thanks for your help.
