charging for drugs administered after the post operative recovery time

Can you charge for the administration of drugs that are given to outpatient surgical patients that stay over night? If the administration ocurrs after the standard 4-6 hr recovery period and the patient is not placed into observation but stays the night and during that time received IV abx or IV pain meds for example would it be alright to charge for the administration?
