MDM=Medical Decison Making, there are 4 types listed in your CPT® book under the E&M services, they are listed as:

Straight forward
low complexity
moderate complexity
high complexity

it is one of the three components neccessary in determing the level of E&M service as it describes the complexity of establishing a diagnosis.
