Re- dx code v85.45

Good Morning
Can you tell me if coding a knee surgery and using additional DX Code such as the Obesity, Osteoporosis and BMI which is mention in the Op-Note will increase the reimbursement from medicare on that surgery.

Thanks in advance

If I understand your question correctly, the answer is no. No one will pay more for more diagnosis codes added to a claim. Reimbursement is basd off of procedure code.
You may want to run the dx's and the procedure code through your local LCD's and make sure they are payable together, but adding dx's wont give you an increased payment.

re: RE- DX CODE V85.45

What I was trying to say is the patient had these other complication which the Doctor encoutered while performing the knee surger and these are including in his Op-Note such as the patient being Obese and the BMI
thats why I was asking if puting the DX code for thse he would get a littlet higher reimbursement.
