Wound care reimbursement

Hi all,

I was asked a question today and I thought I knew the answer and of course I can not find a definite answer anywhere.

Can anyone tell me if Medicare pays more or less for debridement ( eg: 11042) at a nursing home than at a IP/OP/ACS facility? Nursing home being either POS 31 or 32. Not necessarily a SNF.

My answer was that a facility fee amount would be the same amount at any place other than POS 11.

Also, will 97597, 97598 be paid at a SNF ? I read somewhere that it is not payable , but I am not clear on that.
