Global period

I am not a medicare/medcaid patient. I had surgery, Code 57135, on February 1 and the doctor told me to come back for a followup visit on 2-15. I am being charged $165.00 and I don't think that I should be charged for a followup to a surgery. The billing person said I was out of the global period and therefore was charged for an office visit. Is that correct?

Yes, it only has a 10 day global
