Once again i am having trouble getting this dipstick code paid(81002) not only medicare but other ins also. Same as when I billed the 83518 and got denied, I am adding the QW modifier to thse procedures since it is a clincial lab procedure. Can someone out there tell me if these procedures codes have been changed or deleted? I always bill with an office visit since the dipstick is done in the office to diagnose a urinary tract infection or to disclose evidence of disease, any help will be appreciated!
