Nursing home annual visit time limits

I have billed 99318 Annual Nursing Facility Assessment to Medicare when it has not been quite a full year since the last annual visit and the service has been denied.
Recommendations?

If it's not quite a year, wait for the year to come. If there is a complication, bill the established level 99307-99310.
