Assistant surgeon and subsequent days

My doc was an assistant surgeon for an etopic pregnancy. Can my doc (as the assistant surgeon) bill for seeing the patient on subsequent days in the hospital?

OR is this part of the "global" period and his time for subsequent days can't be billed?

Procedures in global period includes payment for postoperative visits – Follow-up visits during the postoperative period of the surgery that are related to recovery from the surgery when furnished by the physicians who performs the surgery.

Global period would only apply to the assistant surgeon if he is employed by or a partner of the primary surgeon and filing under same tax id. You did not specify.
