Fetal intrauterine surgery and post op care

I work for a pediatric neurosurgeon. He recently performed a myelomenigocele on a fetus. The infant was deliveried several weeks after the surgery and admitted to the hospital. When i bill for the surgery it will be charged under the mom. My question concerns the post operative hospital care for the infant. Am i correct that we can bill for the care and treatment of the infant while inpatient, as the post operative care does not apply. I have always believed we could as the fetus is considered part of the mother until birth. Can someone please help me and let me know if i am correct or incorrect?
