98969 Case Management - reading e-mail correspondence for Psychotherapy

Does anybody have experience in billing 98969 for case management? I have been reviewing a bunch of e-mails a patient attached to show how family members interacted, for a case of family therapy (psychotherapy).

It has a status indicator of non covered in the Medicare fee schedule. You can bill the patent for the service.

I suspect most payers will follow that and consider it a non covered service.

Thanks Betsy. Some material I have from a coding workshop for psychotherapy says

For email case management, use this code:
?? 98969 – online assessment & management service
provided by qualified nonphysician professional to an established patient/family member
To use these codes, the online consultation must:
?? Not be related to a face-to-face assessment & management service provided within the previous 7 days.

But those indication are not supported by any practical case, and I'm still wondering.
