77 Modifier

Can the 77 modifier be used on laboratory claims? We run test using the 80101 or G0431 code but in some cases the physicians office that is sending us the specimen for testing bills the code before we can and then we do not get paid for it.

Never used 77 but have used 91. I don't see why it would not work. G0431 for Medicare has been changed to G0434.
