Cat bite

Pt came in for a cat bite. Doc mentioned it as a wound, but did not specify if its an open wound. Do I have to use 959.5 w/ an E-code or 883.0?

If broke the skin: 883.0 and E906.3.
If a contusion, code to contusion--we are not mind readers, documentation must be clear.
