Medicare denial (N70) As of 7/1/2012 Medicare no longer pays the technical component of certain physician pathology services when the patient had hospital inpatient or outpatient services on the same date of service. You can find this on the CMS internet only manual chapter 16 pages 50-52 (80.2.1). There is also reference to this in MLN Matters MM8399. You can appeal the denial.
