billing for a hospital visit the day after discharge is written

Our hospitalist performed hospital discharge activities and billed a discharge code for the 14th. The SNF bed was not available until the 15th so the hospitalist saw the patient again on the 15th. Can the visit on the 15th be billed? The assessment and coordination for the discharge were done on the 14th.
