Post op care done by the hospitalist

The change in the consult rule is good news for hospitalists and Primary Care Physicians who care for the medical problems of their patients post-operatively. Previously, these services could only be billed as subsequent hospital visits. Now, they can be initial hospital services (with no modifier)
