93005 ekg

Does anyone know if there should be a 25 modifier on the office visit. Also if ultrasound or CT done is 25 need on ov.

93005 and modifier 25

There is no CPT rule that would require modifier 25 on an E/M service when done with an EKG or other diagnostic test.

That said, some of the payers claims editing programs have unusual edits. (read the discussion on 90471 for a few rants....)
