on call surgeon that is not in network, but facility is

I am billing for general surgeon. He is on call and had to perform surgery on a patient. The patient ended up being Outpatient. Also, my surgeon is not in network with the patient's insurance. How do I bill so that he can get paid?
Thank you

You won't bill it any differently than you normally would. Some insurance companies have out of network benefits (at a reduced rate) and some do not. Depending on the patient's coverage, you will either get paid at a reduced rate or you will not get paid at all. The patient will be responsible for all of it or the balance after the insurance pays.

Hope this helps :)
