modifies AS 80 = How many bills?

Sources needed re- clarification of surgery modifiers.

Surgery Primay surgeon bills procedure: 63047 80 AS
Does the bill cover all services by primaryMD & secondaryMD and PA.

or do you submit 3 bills?

primary surgeon ( included in note PA and other assisting doctor)

PA & other doctor documented their services - can they bill too?

( this is not a 62 case two specialists not called upon)...

Each provider should submit their own bill.

The primary surgeon bills the procedure without any modifiers.

The assistant surgeon bills the procedure with the 80.

The PA bills with the AS,80

Now, someone correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think you can bill for two assists.
