podiatry billing

I keep getting a claim failed edit "the charge is within the global period for 11042, but has a modifier that may allow payment" when trying to bill 99213 with modifier 25 and secondary code 11042. DX used is 891.1, 459.81, 682.60 & 703.8. Is there another modifier I should use? New to podiatry billing...HELP!

You need to look back and see what was done previously. Is the patient in a global period from a previous procedure?

Also, have you downloaded the foot care guide from your Medicare contractor? If not, do that.
