Billing for sleep studies

If a outpatient facility is doing a sleep study and a physician is interpreting the study only (he does not own the facility), can the facility bill the total component for the sleep study under the phsician's name and numbers?

I don't see how or why to do that.

Each provider should bill the portion of the service performed.
