Is there a difference between physician modifiers and ASC modifiers. Is so is there a list of which physician ones co-inside with ASC ones?

When using modifier 76, do we use this when the same procedure is done on a different day or the same day.

We do colonoscopies and some pts have an incomplete cf due to poor prep and have to come back for another. Do we then attach modifier 76 to the 2nd visit?
