Laboratory Billing In Physician Office

We are a Family Medicine practice and I have a new NP that has billed CPT® 87510 and 88175. These are under the Pathology and Laboratory codes. We do not have an in house lab and only do urine dip tests and rapid strep type testing. I think she is wanting to bill for the collection to be sent to the lab. What charge would this go under, or can it be billed at all? This is a Medicaid patient.

The 99000 is the code that would be billed but I only know of one insurance (Healthnet) that pays that code. I am not sure about Medicaid (my Dr. is not in contract).

Good luck!
