TAVR - Peripheral Angiograms.

We are going to be performing TAVR soon and I had 2 questions in regards to whether procedures are considered part of the preparation or part of the procedure.

1. When provider is performing heart cath, they are performing peripheral angiograms of lower extremities and sometimes abdominal aortagrams in preparation for the TAVR. I had indicated to them that this is mapping/ in prep for procedure and possibly not payable.

Am I correct in my thought process?

If the angiogram was abnormal we still would not bill unless they ended up having a stent placed?

Below is one example of one with no findings:
Peripheral injection into the abdominal aorta revealed disease free and
calcification free aorta and ileofemoral system.  The diameter of the external
iliac and the common femoral artery was down to 8-mm in diameter and the
common iliac arteries were probably around 10-mm in diameter bilaterally.

AORTOGRAM:  Aortogram was done and revealed no significant aortic
regurgitation, and mild calcification of the aortic valve with no evidence of
calcification of the sinus of Valsalva or the ascending aorta.

2. The TEE performed during the procedure would that be billable or is it considered mapping/guidance therefore not billable?

I appreciate any help since this is new to us here.
