Medicare - Retro Billing

Are you familiar with the recent changes Medicare made regarding the ability to retro-bill?

I thought they weren't allowing it anymore but can't remember for sure.

This involves when you get the physician credentialed. If you have an existing practice, and everyone is enrolled with Medicare, there are no changes.

Starting Jan 1, (and enforced starting April 1) you can't go back and bill for physicians or NPPs who aren't credentialled.
