home Health

Hi,

1. Some Cardiology/Vascular - (93000, 93306, 93922) all these proposed tests will be done at the patient’s home (POS 12) for the technical components, will these be acceptable by insurances. What additional care should be taken.
2. For the Lab tests like the puncture, blood glucose monitoring tests, etc., we billed, the claims are getting denied as inclusive with Home Care Services. Do these services need to be done by the doctor, or can these be done by the Nurse Practitioner/Medical Assistants/PAs. Would you suggest, avoiding billing the home visit service and just bill these tests (when done by Nonphysician Practitioners)?

Thanks in advance for your valuable information.

re: home Health

I think most technical component services (especially in POS 12) and lab supplies would be bundled into the payment if this is a home health consolidated billing case.
