Fecal Transplant Donor Code

We have a patient who is trying to be a fecal donor for his daughter. We have a list of blood work that we are running to see if he would be a 'match' for her but we are running into a problem of what ICD-9 code to use for the blood work. We need to send it out to the lab but the only donor screening codes we can find are for tissue or organ donors. Can anyone help me?

re: Fecal Transplant Donor Code

Use a diagnosis that fits with the actual testing being performed.
"Laboratory screening of donor fecal samples includes intestinal pathogens, ova and parasites, and C. difficile. Donor blood is tested for chronic viral infections (e.g., hepatitis, HIV, cytomegalovirus, Epstein-Barr)."
Take a look at V59.9, V59.09
I believe (may be wrong) all donor testing is actually billed to Insurance under the person receiving it. Not sure if that opens up the diag range. If, it helps the procedure is 44705(G0455) diag 008.45.
Look in the range of V01-V89, one of three uses for this range is "when a person who is not currently sick encounters the health services for some specific purpose, such as to act as a donor of an organ or tissue, to receive prophylactic vaccination, or to discuss a problem which is in itself not a disease or injury."
