Using Modifier with Anesthesia after IVF cycle
Patient had an IVF cycle. Authorization is expired. She has D&C after lost. I'm unsure if I should put modifier 79 with the anesthesia procedure code. She technically is not within her global authorization since it expired. But would IVF have a type of surgical global period? I hope someone has dealt with this before cause I am lost. I have precise notes from the person I was trained by and it says to add the 79 modifier if in a global. I don't know if that's global auth or global period. HELP!
