Regarding CPT® 99366

Hello
I have a question regarding 99366.
If the conference lasts more than 30 minutes, then how many 99366 will be reported? for example, if the conference 75 minnutes, two 99366s or three 99366s?
Thanks in advance

re: Regarding CPT® 99366

99366Medical team conference with interdisciplinary team of health care professionals, face-to-face with patient and/or family, 30 minutes or more, participation by nonphysician qualified health care professional.

There is only one code (99366) for face-to-face team conferences for nonphysician use, because physicians can report their face-to-face services during a team conference with the appropriate E/M code, using time spent counseling and coordinating care as the key factor in code determination.

All of the team conference codes include a time component and allow reporting only to conferences lasting 30 minutes or more. Team conference services of less than 30 minutes are not reported.

Coding Tip

Face-to-face medical team conferences are reported by physicians using the appropriate E/M code based on the setting in which the service occurs. It may also be appropriate to append a prolonged service code (99354-99357) to the E/M code when the team conference extends at least 30 minutes beyond the time parameters designated by the E/M code.
