Need help to find out CPT® code for Excision, subcutaneous mass
Anybody please suggest the apt code for the following procedure
Assessment:
1. Sebaceous cyst
Procedures:
Excision, subcutaneous mass:
Pre-Op Diagnosis inflamed cyst.
Site back.
Size of Lesion 10mm.
Anesthesia 1% Xylocaine c 1:100,000 epi -.
Suture 4-0 Ethilon.
Consent All of the risks, benefits, potential complications (including the need for further surgery) and alternative treatment options were fully discussed with the patient.
Method: The patient was placed on the operating table and prepped and draped in the usual fashion. A skin marker was utilized to design an ellipse to be excised.
Xylocaine was used to anesthetize the area. Five minutes were allowed to elapse for the anesthesia to take effect. At this point, 10mm punch biopsy was used to make the initial incisions. Blunt dissection with Metzenbaum scissors was used to free the specimen from surrounding tissue. The specimen was removed and placed into a pathology specimen bottle. Bleeding was controlled with pressure. The wound was copiously irrigated with normal saline. The skin was closed with Ethilon sutures.,3..
Post-Op Instruction The specimen was submitted to pathology for definitive diagnosis. Postoperative instructions were given to the patient both orally and written. The patient was instructed to call the office immediately if they have any problems or concerns. The patient is to return to the office for postoperative visit and suture removal as instructed.

Try looking at 10060 or 10061

I would suggest looking at 11400-11446 range, unless it comes back as a malignant lesion then I would look at 11600-11646.
