new office visits

If we have different specialty that joined our practice and we credentialed them as mulit-specialty can we take a new office visit for them if they are established with our practice but new to their practice. We file under the same Tax ID#.

Medicare defines a new patient as a patient who has not received any professional services (i.e., E/M service or other face-to-face service, such as a surgical procedure) from the physician or physician group practice (same physician specialty) within the previous three years. Medicare Claims Processing Manual, Chapter 12, Section 30.6.7)
