upgrading my skills

I am a recent college graduate. Majoring in Medical Administration. I recently made the choice to pursue a career in Health Information Technology. From there, I will test through AMIMA for Registered Health Information Technology.
I have enrolled in a associate degree program that will begin on October 1/ 2012.I am confident that I have made a great decision by chosing this route to begin my career. I am new in the health care field. However, I am pationate about the health care industry. Do you agree that I have made a good choice career wise.
