G0102

Do I need to append a 25 modifier when billing G0102 and a preventative medicine code on a Medicare patient?

The issue is payment. Preventive codes are not covered by Medicare (99381-99397). Code G0102 is only covered by Medicare if it is only service rendered, or is rendered with a non-covered service (99381-99397). Modifier -25 is not needed in this case but use it if payer requests. But, as you can see by above link to BC/BS, they include G0102 in the preventive codes.
