How do you bill 3cc of J2001 in units?

To answer your question, we need to know how many mg are being administered, and how many mg are in 1 cc of the Lidocaine preparation you are using. I don't charge for the actual drug used, so can't help you unless you give answer. J2001 is Lidocaine 10 mg, so you will need to calculate it when you know the dose given and the mg/cc. I code for a hospital & those drug charges are in the charge-master, so I don't code them. The pharmacy charges the drug by using the chargemaster, & the coders don't code it.
