Coumadin Management Visit
Has anyone had experience with billing 99211, 85610 and 36416 for a coumadin management/fingerstick/INR visit? The 99211 would document the reason for the coumadin, coumadin dosage, check for bruising and verify diet in addition to any changes made to the coumadin dose after the INR results. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
re: Coumadin Management Visit
I am also interested in the answer to this. Also, is it normal to run a TSH panel (84443) on the patient as well when only anticoagulant therapy is being managed? Why not bill the anticoagulant therapy codes instead of a nurse visit? This just doesn't seem ethical to me. I hope someone can answer our questions.
