Treadmill stress test billing question...

I work for a family practice and every so often, a provider will meet our patient at the local hospital or a different clinic to supervise, interpret, and report a treadmill test.

We currently bill 93016 and 93018

I am being asked if we can charge an office visit as well since they will typically do a brief history, exam, and MDM as well.

My first answer is no because the patient is not in our office. However, I am being asked if we change the POS to 49 (independent clinic) if this would be acceptable.

Does anyone have any guidance, resources, etc that I can refer to so I can share with my providers?
