Billing question regarding OB covered by another doctor

Hi I'm new in billing area, and I'm working in a OB/GYN office.

We have new OB from another Dr.'s office because the doctor just had surgery done and he needs bed rest.

Our doctor helps to cover the OB 2-3 times, and the OB will go back to the original doctor.

Is that available to bill this kind of situation? What CPT® code should I use?

They are billable as office visit E&M(s), but will probably need to be appealed, and will make billing more complicated when she is delivered by the other doctor. It might be easier for your doc to come to an agreement with the other doc for reasonable partial reimbursement after the global payment, as though covering call.
