Attending supervising Fellow while seeing own patients

Can an attending supervise a Fellow while at the same time see and bill for his own patient census? Is there a CMS reg I can refer to?

I don't really understand the question.

An attending physician does not have to be with a resident or fellow at all times: the attending may see the patient seen by a resident or fellow before or after the resident. During the course of the day, the attending may see patients billed without a resident.

Under the teaching physician rules, the work of the resident may be billed under the attending's number for services provided jointly with the resident.
