PPD READING (CPT® and dx)
several times doctors says pt has come for PPD reading only nothing else is mentioned in superbill. What to do. Any CPT® we can use for PPD and what about dx)
re: PPD READING (CPT® and dx)
Most practices do not charge for when the patient returns just to have the PPD looked at. It usually takes the nurse 5 seconds, and thats it.
Some practices charge a 99211 for the hurse visit, but that may subject the patients to a copay or deductible, which usually does not make them happy!
re: PPD READING (CPT® and dx)
On a reading with no problems noted, usually a no-charge
re: PPD READING (CPT® and dx)
I believe both CPT® and CMS allow a nurse visit for PPD reading. Make sure if Medicare that incident to rules are met.
