Anesthesia Modifier to use when a Resident is involved!

Hello,
I need help with a correct modifier to use when an anesthesiologist directs a Resident. Is QY modifier correct?
Thank you!

CY Is used for a CRNA.

Look at:
GC service performed in part by resident under the direction of a reaching physician
GE service has been preformed by a resident w/o the presence of a teaching physician under the primary care exception

No Jackfrost - I think those modifiers would only be used in medical/surgical cases, not Anesthesia. But all info should be reviewed by abby

Per the 2012 Optum anesthesia coding and payment guide - interns and residents are not eligible to receive payment so the Anesthesiologist would bill as usual. there would be no modifier/support for medical direction of a Resident
