Modifier

Hi

I asked this question last week but never receive your answer, so I am asking for your help again because I realy need it

The Doctor in a private practice saw a Patient in th Nursing Home for an E/V
Procedure Code 99223 Please tell me what Modifier I should be bill this procedure to Medicare with.

99223 is for initial hospital care. If the patient is in a nursing home, I would probably use a code from the following: 99304-99305-99306, as these are the codes for patients in nursing facilities.
